こんにちは。お久しぶりです。
パソコン作業が辛く、なかなかアップできませんでした。今も、まだ辛いので、しばらくはつぶやき形式でアップしていきます。
先日のレッスンで、学習者さんに、「それさ～、・・・・」と話すと、「さ」って何ですか？と質問がありました。
友だちも良く言うんです。とも。
何気なく使っている「～さ」。
どんな働きがあるのでしょうか。
何かさ、それさ、昨日さ～、このあとさ～、
私かなり使うかも。
Exploring a subtle daily phrase through a student’s question
Hello, it’s been a while! I haven’t been able to post much lately because working on the computer has been tough for me. Since it’s still a bit hard, I’ll be posting short, bite-sized updates for a while.
In a recent lesson, I said to a student, “Sore sa…” (Well, you see…), and they asked me, “What does ‘sa’ mean? My friends use it a lot, too.”
“Sa” is something we use without even thinking about it. What kind of role does it actually play? “Nanka sa” (Like…), “Sore sa” (That, you know…), “Kinou sa…” (Yesterday, see…), “Kono ato sa…” (After this, right?)… Come to think of it, I might actually use it quite a lot!
