ことのは レッスンの最後は「トライ」する

先週の最後のレッスンも、いつも通り、勉強したことを実践してみる「話してみよう」で締めました。
テーマは「週末することを話す」でしたが、このことを話すための表現はいくつかあります。会話なので質問のための言葉も必要です。
私は、いつも「やってみますか？」と一応確認します。学習者さんだけで会話をしていくのですが、今までの学習者さんで、やらないと言われた方はひとりもいませんでした。みなさんやる気満々です。頼もしい！
そして、「週末は・・・」から会話が始まり、「どこで？」「何を？」「行きます」「します」「○○で」・・・とその日に勉強したことと持っている知識、言葉をフルに使ってお互いに、週末の予定について会話しました。
学習者さんだけでの会話。質問の仕方も良いし、きちんと答えれているし、みんな予定を聞いて「そうなの？」状態でした。みなさん表情が良くて楽しそうに会話されていました。「できた」という実感につながっていればと思います。
さぁ、今週もレッスンが始まっています。授業をきちんと組み立てて学習者さんがゴールを目指せるようサポートしていきたいと思います。

The final part of the lesson is to “try.”

As always, we wrapped up last week’s final lesson with “Let’s try speaking,” where students put into practice what they had learned.
The theme was “Talking about weekend plans.” There are several useful expressions for this, and since it’s a conversation, students also need phrases to ask questions.
I always check in by asking, “Shall we give it a try?” The students then continue the conversation with each other. Up until now, not a single learner has ever said “no.” Everyone has been so eager and motivated—it’s truly encouraging!
The conversation would begin with “This weekend, I will…” and then naturally move into “Where?” “What?” “I’ll go…” “I’ll do…” “At (a place)…” Students used both the expressions we studied that day and the knowledge they already had, to talk about their weekend plans.
It was a conversation entirely between the learners themselves. Their questioning skills were great, their answers were clear, and when listening to each other’s plans, they reacted with genuine surprise and interest: “Oh really?” Everyone’s expressions were lively, and they seemed to enjoy the conversation a lot.I hope it helps them feel that sense of accomplishment.
Now, this week’s lessons are already underway. I’ll keep building each class carefully so that learners can steadily work toward their goals with confidence.
