ことのは 趣味は何ですか？

突然ですが、皆さんの趣味は何ですか？
初級の方なら「趣味は読書です」「趣味はゲームです」と聞こえてきそうです。もう少し上のレベルなら「趣味はゲームをすることです」「趣味は本を読むことです」と聞こえてきそうですね。
ちなみに、私の趣味はサッカーを観ることです。楽しい～！！
趣味をたずねられ、「趣味はサッカーです」と言うと、「えっ？サッカーするんですか？」と驚かれます。なので、「サッカーを観ることです」と伝えます。
日本語を勉強し始めたときは、「趣味はゲームです」という簡単な形で勉強すると思います。でも、趣味のことを話せると、会話が弾んだり、ともだちができたりということにつながりますよね。
だから、「ことのは」では、自分の事に関しては、最初から「趣味は～ことです」の形で言えるようレッスンをしています。この時点では、文法のルールは理解は難しいと思います。でも、実際この文法を勉強するとき、つながりやすいんですよね。
みなさんの趣味は何ですか？
・私の趣味は（ゲーム）です➡私の趣味は（ゲーム）を（する）+ことです。
・私の趣味は（ ）です。➡私の趣味は（ ）を（動詞辞書形）+ことです。
とできると表現の幅が広がり楽しいですね。

If you’re a beginner, you might say, 「わたしのしゅみは どくしょ です」 or 「わたしのしゅみは ゲームです”」At a slightly more advanced level, you might say, 「わたしのしゅみは ほんをよむことです」 or 「わたしのしゅみは ゲームをすることです」
By the way, 「わたしのしゅみは、サッカーをみることです。」It’s so much fun!
When I tell people, 「My hobby is soccer」 they often ask, 「Oh, do you play?」So I clarify, 「My hobby is watching soccer」
When you first start learning Japanese, you likely learn the simple form, “My hobby is [hobby].” But being able to talk about your hobbies helps conversations flow and can lead to new friendships.
That’s why at “Kotonoha,” I teach our students to talk about themselves using the structure from the strat, 「わたしのしゅみは [verb]+ことです」At this stage, understanding the grammatical rules might be difficult, but it makes it much easier to connect the dots when you study this grammar in the future.

・私のしゅみは（ ）です➡私のしゅみは（ ）を（V-dictionary form）+ことです。
This structure expands your range of expression and makes it more fun.
